Unsteady Aerodynamic Stabilization of the Dynamics of Hingeless Rotor Blades in Hover

This project is a continous research from Master to PhD. In this work, we aimed to examine the sensitivity of the structural model and the aerodynamic strip model on flutter boundaries for a hingeless rotor blade in hover. In particular,we want to know whether the transition from a linear to a nonlinear structural model or from a quasi-steady to an unsteady aerodynamic model has a role in stabilizing the lead–lag instability that occurs at low collective pitch angles for stiff in-plane hingeless rotors. The details of the work and results are documented in these two papers.
